Craft and Makers Fair

Thank you to everyone who supported our Craft and Makers Fair at St Bartholomew’s Church on 30th November.

This was one of our most successful fundraising events and we are thrilled to have raised just over £1800 for the Student Bursary Fund to help our learners pay for course fees, travel costs, child care and course materials.

We are extremely grateful to the volunteers at St Bartholomew’s Church who kindly agreed to host the fair and to the caretaker and team at St Bartholomew’s School who lent us tables so that this event could go ahead.

The event enabled us to raise awareness of Friends Centre through the distribution of brochures to stall holders and visitors. There was a constant flow of people through the doors with well in excess of 1000 visitors throughout the day.  There were 44 stalls selling a wide range of hand made items including cakes, crocheted animals, honey, jewellery and ceramics.

The feedback from stallholders was fantastic with many hoping to return to future events that Friends Centre organise:

“Thank you so much for such a great event it’s the first time I have had a stall here and it was brilliant – such a variety for sale and so busy!”

“It was a pleasure to be part of Friends Centre – I would be interested in any fairs you may be organising in the future in 2020”

“The Craft and Makers fair at Bartholomew church was wonderful, thank you so much for having me there. The church is an amazing place and gave the event this special ‘touch’. The arrangement of stalls/tables were superb, everything well organized and good access to everything.”

We look forward to future events and hope that we can raise even more funds at the next one.
