Teach learners how to create an interesting accessory using free stitching on the sewing machine.

Who this course is for?

The course is suitable for everyone. No sewing machine experience is necessary. You will be guided through step by step. If you do have some machine embroidery experience you will be able to attempt something more ambitious.  Although you are in effect drawing with thread you do not need to be good at drawing. Templates and simple designs will be provided if you do not feel confident creating your own.

What will I be able to do by the end of this course?

You will be able to use the sewing machine to create stitch which resembles drawing. This is a fun way to use a sewing machine and gives you extra options for general sewing. This technique can be used to embellish clothes. You will complete a necklace, bracelet or hanging decoration and will have the skills to make similar things yourself at home.

What materials will I need for the course?

Pen and notebook would be useful

Sewing materials will be provided but you may wish to bring your own sewing threads and scissors.
