Do you find it difficult to tell other people what you do and do not want? You need a positive attitude and a confident approach to be able to do this. This course will help you develop the assertive communication skills needed to build your confidence and deal with the expectations and demands of other people.

Anyone who wants to be more assertive with other people; with friends, family and people at work.

There will be conversations in pairs and as a whole group about your skills, strengths, values and weaknesses. If you would like to know more about how this approach works, it is worth talking this through when booking on the course or with the tutor.

Who is the course tutor?
Gill Hasson has been teaching in adult education and at the University of Sussex for over 15 years. She teaches courses on personal development, professional development and career development. Gill is a tutor on Friends Centre courses Confidence and Self Esteem, Realise your Potential and Counselling. She also writes books. Her books ‘Bounce,’ ‘How to be assertive,’ ‘Brilliant Communication Skills’ , ‘Brilliant Emotional Intelligence’ and ‘Mindfulness’ are all available from Amazon or to order from a bookshop.
