World Mental Health Day 2017

World Mental Health Day, hosted by the World Federation of Mental Health, is TODAY!

One in four adults and one in ten children are likely to have a mental health problem in any given year. This can have a profound impact on the lives of tens of millions of people in the UK, and can affect their ability to sustain relationships, work, or just get through the day. Mental health problems can affect anyone, any day of the year, but 10th October is a great day to show your support for better mental health and start looking after your own wellbeing.

We also thought that today was a good day to draw attention to the courses we offer that help people to train for better Mental Health for themselves and to help others that are struggling with their wellbeing. We have two courses on offer; Health & Wellbeing, starting in November and repeating in the summer term, and Mental Health Awareness starting in February.

On completion of this course you will receive a CACHE Level 1 Certificate in Wellbeing.

This course is ideal if you are considering working with others who may need support with their health and wellbeing or if you’d like to find out more about living a healthier lifestyle.
