Social Development
Tutor: Dr. Julie Coultas

From Monday 15th January, 7pm - 9pm, for 10 weeks
Fees: £60 (£40 concessionary)
We are all born into a social world to which we must adapt. Social development is the changing nature of relationships with others over our lifetime. This course will look at social relationships throughout infancy, childhood, adolescence and later life. The notion of emotional intelligence will also be considered.

Cads, Dads and Crowds
Tutor: Dr. Julie Coultas

From Monday 23rd April 2007, 7pm - 9pm, for 10 weeks
Fees: £60 (£40 concessionary)
Why do we seek out certain types of romantic partners? Is there a difference between what a woman wants in a man and what a man wants in a woman? What are the influences on whether we help a person or the ways we act in a group? This course will use and evolutionary social psychology perspective to look at family relationships, how we choose a partner and parent for our children, selfish and generous behaviour and group processes.
