On Friday 7th March 2016, the Junction Café hosted a table-top sale of donated goods to raise money for an orphanage in Zambia. The event was organised by Alison Kroon, the lead tutor for ESOL and Maths & English at Friends Centre.
We’re pleased to announce that a total of £380 was raised! The money covers the cost of two of the six laptops that will be provided to Harvest Care Centre, which provides over 100 children buy clonazepam no prescription with basic primary education, and houses around 40 orphaned/street children who are dependent on the centre for the roof over their heads, clothing, water, food and education. Alison continues to raise funds to help with:
- upgrading the Internet Cafe established in 2014 and equip facilities
- installing solar panels to provide a more stable and sustainable power supply
- upgrading orphanage accommodation
- replenishing resources in the school
Thank you to everyone that took part and/or donated goods for the sale.
