Welcome to the Friends Centre

Friends Centre is an independent adult education centre in Brighton and Hove, offering a broad range of learning opportunities to the whole community. Each year, Friends Centre provides a place for around 1,500 people from different backgrounds to learn together in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Friends Centre has been part of the Brighton and Hove community since our beginning in 1945.

Today, Friends Centre offers learning opportunities in a wide range of subjects, held in many community locations. Our learners range in age from 16 to 90, and come from all walks of life and all areas of the city. Everyone is welcome.
