Friends Centre is an adult education centre in Brighton and Hove. We have been part of the Brighton and Hove community since 1945.

Each year, Friends Centre provides a place for around 1,600 people from different backgrounds to learn together in a welcoming and supportive environment. Friends Centre's work is designed to:

· Help people achieve their aspirations and meet the challenges they face;
· Stimulate community interest and civic involvement;
· Promote tolerance, social justice and international understanding.

Friends Centre is known for its ability to engage people who find it hard to learn, including people who have been out of education for a long time, those with few formal qualifications, people with mental health needs or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers and homeless people. We run a range of projects in partnership with other organisations and funders.

If you are looking for a course for yourself, would like to refer someone else to us, or would like to support our work, please contact us. Our phone number is (01273) 810210 and the reception is open from 9.30 - 3pm Monday to Friday.
